DKP Ruleset
There is a separate DKP table for each tier of instances.
A tier of instance is a group of instances dropping a specific tier of items (eg Tier 8: Ulduar, Tier 9: Coliseum, Tier 10: Icecrown)
Whenever a new tier is reached, the previous tier will remain unchanged.
Obtaining An Item
Whenever an item drops, the first eligible member is asked if they wish to get it. If they do, then they can loot it and the DKP value of the item is removed from their current DKP. If they do not want the item, then the priority goes to the second eligible member.
An eligible member is a member whose Class/Spec can use the item at its fullest in raids. The first eligible member is the one with the highest amount of DKP, the second is the one with the second highest amount of DKP, etc, etc.
Eligibility will also be determined based on the following criteria (in order of priority)...
1.) Main Spec
2.) Off Spec
3.) Trials / Alts / Casuals
In the event of 2 equally eligible people having the same amount of DKP, they will both be asked to /roll, with the item being awarded to the highest roller for the fixed price.
Armor Class
Players who meet the natural armor class of the item have first priority. Eg. Mages, Priests and Warlocks will have 1st priority on a cloth items. If no cloth users want the item, classes with higher armor proficiencies share equal rights on the item (Druids, Shamans, Paladins).
Note: If no-one needs an item of a particular armor class for main spec, then it will be opened up to other armor classes' main specs, before it is offered down as offspec.
Earning DKP
They are two ways to earn DKP:
- Attending a raid.
- Being online during a raid and ready to join, you can be online an alt but you have to be online in game to earn standby DKP.
Standby DKP
• A player is granted ‘Standby’ if they are online during raid invites but isn’t selected by the raid leader to attend the raid.
• A player who comes online late after raid invites and asks for ‘Standby’ will not be granted any DKP for the hours of his coming or for any boss killed during that hour or in the following hour if most of the attempts happened during this hour.
- If you are asked to switch with another player, full standby will be awarded.
• A player who is on ‘Standby’ must either be near the instance or have his hearthstone set with cooldown ready at the nearest inn to the instance being raided
You can be online on and alt, who must be a member of either ‘RR Inc’ or ‘The Pirates Coven’ and have your main character waiting offline outside the instance.
• Standby DKP will be awarded at the raid end. In order to recieve the Standby DKP, players who are on Standby must whisper the DKP handler at raid end time. Failure to do so will result in no DKP being awarded for that evening. (This is to make sure that players who are on Standby are actually available and on Standby until raid end time)
• If you wish to be removed from the Standby list before the raid has ended you must whisper the DKP handler to inform him. (This is so you can be awarded for the time spent on Standby) Failure to do so will result in you being awarded no DKP.
Ontime DKP
Regardless of which 25 man content is being raided on any particular evening, ontime DKP is awarded for the highest tier of content available. To qualify for ontime DKP, you must be in the zone specified in the GMOTD or by the officer team, be ungrouped and be ready to raid.
Alts
Alts and mains share the same DKP pool. It follows that any DKP you earn whilst on an alt will be merged with the DKP of your main.
Vault of Archavon
When raiding Vault of Archavon (25), several rules apply. To begin with, you will earn 10 DKP for the highest tier of content killed in Archavon (currently Koralon the Fire Watcher). Regardless of whatever type of loot drops (PvP/PvE), main characters will always have priority over alts. Main spec vs. PvP spec does not matter either.
Here are some examples of how this will work.
Paladin A and Paladin B both want to roll on PvE gloves which drop from Koralon. Paladin B is an alt. Paladin A automatically gets the gloves.
Priest A, Priest B and Priest C all want to roll on PvP legs which drop from Koralon. Priest C is an alt. Priest A and Priest B will roll to detemine a winner.
Holy Paladin and Retribution Paladin both want to roll on PvP Retribution gloves which drop from Koralon. Both paladins PvP as retribution, even though Holy Paladin is Holy as a raid spec. Both Paladins will roll to determine a winner.
10 Man Heroics
In 10 man heroic Trial of the Crusader, we will be reverting back to rolls by priority, as used before. If a high rank needs an item which drops in Trial of the Crusader heroic, they get the item, if they are not rolling against anybody of equal rank. Items obtained from 10 man heroic Trial of the Crusader do not cost DKP.
Examples:
Gunner 1 and Swashbuckler 2 need Cloth Wrists which drop in 10 man heroic. Swashbuckler 2 gets them due to higher rank.
Gunner 1 and Gunner 2 need Cloth Wrists which drop in 10 man heroic. Both Gunners roll. Winner gets the item.
Gunner 1, First Pirate 2 and Mate 3 all need the Cloth Wrists which drop in 10 man heroic. Gunner 1 gets them due to higher rank.
WebDKP and How To Use It
Redrum Inc uses a system called "WebDKP" to administer the DKP.
This in the form of a wowclient addon that will be run by the DKP handlers, and an external website you can view.
Outside of raids: Outside of raids, the amount of DKP you currently have can be viewed by clicking on 'DKP' from the menubar of this website, and then selecting 'DKP viewer' Please note that during raids this information will not be correct as it is not live, and also, after a raid ends, it could be upto an hour before that raids DKP has been added.
During raids: During raids you can find out how much DKP you and other players in the raid have by whispering the following commands to the DKP handler...
!DKP - this will return a whisper telling you your current DKP
!list all - this will return a whisper telling you the DKP of everyone in the current raid
!list hunter warrior shaman - this will return a whisper telling you the DKP of only the classes you specified.
Note: There may be more than one officer present in a raid who is running the DKP client, however, only the one that is the DKP handler for the current raid should be whispered, as whispering someone who is not the DKP handler will return out of date DKP information in the whisper.
DKP Awards
On time DKP: 5 DKP
Boss kill: 10 DKP
Hard / Heroic mode bosses: 20 DKP
Progression raids: 15 DKP per hour.
Note: A boss is considered ‘progression’ by the discretion of the officer team. This is true of both Normal and Harder Modes. So progressing on a hard mode of a boss that has already been killed on normal mode might still award progression DKP. Once a boss has been killed, the officer team may decided that after progression DKP has ended, this boss will reward double or triple DKP. To qualify for 'On time DKP' you need to be in the raid zone at invites time, ungrouped and ready to raid.
Val'anyr Fragments
Val’anyr Fragment = 300 DKP for the first fragment, with each subsequent fragment being auto-looted to that person for no cost. When he got all needed fragments for mace, another 300DKP is deducted giving total price of 600 DKP.
Note: Val’anyr Fragments will not be rewarded based on DKP, but by loot council. The officer team will decide before the start of Ulduar which players have an impeccable guild record of attendance, loyalty and skill, and are therefore eligible for a legendary item.
Note: Val'anyr Fragments are charged only when the person receiving said Fragment is the primary Val'anyr Fragment holder. For example, if the primary Fragment collector misses a raid day and a Fragment drops, 300 dkp is not charged to the person who picks it up. Only if the primary Fragment carrier gquits/completes the mace does a second person become the new 'primary' Fragment collector, and thusly is charged 300 dkp for taking up this role.
Patterns
Patterns that craft a BoE item will be awarded free of charge to the most active player who has the required profession. Patterns that craft a BoP item are awarded for a standard price of the item it crafts.
Alchemy & Engineering Caches
The valuable materials will be held by the guildbank, the "trash" materials are for the looter. Which materials are valuable and which aren't is decided by the officers.
Runed Orbs
Runed Orbs will be held by the guildbank, and handed out upon request (subject to availability and at the discretion of the management). They might be charged with DKP. Players requesting Runed Orbs will be charged DKP for the item which they are crafting based on Ulduar DKP prices.
Crusader Orbs
Crusader Orbs will be distributed differently to how Runed Orbs were in the previous tier of content. Crusader Orbs will 'cost' 10 DKP (to be possibly revised) and, when making gear which requires Crusader Orbs, you will buy individual orbs from the guild bank, and be available to contribute your own orbs for a discount to the final cost of an item.
For example, if you are crafting an item which requires 8 Crusader Orbs, this will cost you 80 DKP (10 x 8) if the guild bank supplies all Crusader Orbs. If you donate 3 of your own Crusader Orbs which you have earned or bought, then you will be discount 30 DKP (10 x 3) meaning that your item will now cost you 50 DKP.
Crusader Orbs will never be able to be traded into the guild bank for gold or DKP rewards.
Additional DKP rules:
- You must bid on items that are an upgrade to you.
- Agreement between members about bidding and loot passing IS NOT ALLOWED.
- Certain items are class bound after common sense and what the guild benefit the most from, the DKP officer in charge always has the last word and will be responsible for judging a possible class loot conflict.
- Violations/abusing of the DKP rules will be penalized with the wiping of all your earned DKP.
